Nick Forland

Nick created Plants and Friends in the Fall of 2017. Having a rich career in Experiential Marketing, Photography and Creative Production for Bay Area brands, Nick decided to switch it up and start something new: Plants and Friends. He wanted to create a space where people could lean in and feel inspired, welcomed, and encouraged. Plants and Friends is a multidimensional space; a place to feel curious about nature, to make new connections, and to feel encouraged about caring for plants, yourself, and each-other.

Harmony comes from a long lineage of horticulture professionals. Her father and mother founded their Interior Landscaping business on the Central Coast in 1983, where Harmony spent her childhood helping them in the greenhouse and the garden. She did not realize her own interest in pursuing a career in horticulture until working as a Visual Merchandiser at a boutique nursery in 2016. Since then, she has helped run her family’s business, and started a pop-up plant and vintage home goods shop of her own called Younger Child.
